3Com 56k PCard modem (3056)

Howdy --
I have a bad feeling my new PC (mcia) card modem mybe a winmodem?
The word "winmodem" doesn't actaully appear on the box?

Can someone offer me some words of confort? It's a 3com 56K PC Card modem?
Which of course goes in one of the pcamia slots?

Slackware-9.0 reconizes the card, and loads a "yenta" driver? But say it's unsupported?

It appears under Win98 as com2 irq 10 ?

TIA,
David
