3495 wifi not working on CentOS 5 x86_64

I just installed CentOS 5 on my PowerPro A:238 (Asus z84jp). It did not recognize my Intel 3495 wifi card during installation. I followed the instructions at but that did not work either. The 3495 doesn't even show up in the list of wifi cards available to configure.

The ipw3495d daemon is running, however.

Has anyone gotten the 3495 to work in CentOS 5 64 bit?

I had the 3495 working in Ubuntu 7.0.4 32 bit, but I had to manually configure the /etc/network/interfaces file to get it to work.

I'm wondering if there is a problem with the 3495 driver working on a 64 bit distribution. Has anyone gotten the 3495 to work on a 64 bit distribution?
