Forgive my cross-posting, but I placed this message in the Linux-software forum, and there was never a reply. In retrospect, it is probably more fitting here.
I have been looking at
a page about Laptop Mode Tools. But looking at the main LMT page, it is a bit unclear to me if it will work properly with a 2.4 kernel without the Cpufreq features of the later 2.6 kernels?
Does this program also control the fan? And if not, where should I look for this?
