Question [cardbus/pcmcia] Hotplug issue

I have the following issue, I recompiled my kernel to get a fullscreen tty :-) (see another post for that) but now I have a hotplug issue, at least I think...

During boot I get the following errormessage, I believe it is generated by the hotplug demon, bootup continues successfully though

"Starting hotplug subsytem: input** can't synthesize input events - /proc/bus/input/devices missing
pci** can't synthesize pci hotplug events"

I am not sure if this error was there also before I recompiled... A search on the net informed me that it is not so serious. That is true, my wireless pccard works as well as my usbmouse, but this message just bugs me. I want to get it sorted. Any idea's what is causing this? and how to resolve it?

Tx for your help.

ok well after a day of searching and puzzling and even recompiling it seems that i am missing a directory in proc namely proc/bus/devices any idea how i can get it there? I am pretty sure it is an error originated because of having made changes in my make menuconfig...

Tx for your thoughts on it
