what is the current stable Kernel for Slack 10.2?

like the title says, what is the current stable Kernel that will work with Slack 10.2

also, how do i tell what Kernel I am running.

as you can tell I'm an Uber-newb.

gotta learn somehow.

well in slackware-current it says 2.4.32 with 2.6.15.6 under testing.
you can tell what kernel your using by typing uname -r in a term
though you can go get any kernel you want and compile it yourself ;-)

You can tell which kernel you're running by running "uname -r" in a terminal. 2.4.31 is the default kernel in Slack 10.2. You can download the latest stable kernel (2.6.17.7) from kernel.org, compile it and use it if you want.

would 2.6.17.7 make it easier to get my wireless card up and running?

here is the thread about my wireless.
