usb 1-1: bad CDC descriptors

Hi,

I am having a Linux device which runs on kernel version 2.6.30.10
, i am interfacing USB LTE modem to that device, which work on RNDIS HOST to get internet. It gives me "bad CDC Descriptor" error, but same modem works on device with kernel 3.4.2. Obviously there are modifications in kernel to support the USB modem, how can i overcome this issue?

You're gonna love this...:

But they got it fixed.

This method takes a different (better?) approach:

Try using modprobe instead. Read up on it here:
