Upgrade kernel 4 to 5 ~ (bullseye)
Hello friends,
can I update the kernel of my distribution from 4.9.0-3-686 to linux-image-5.18.0-0.deb11.3-amd64 without breaking anything in the system. If I can't, what do you suggest I do? Thank you in advance! :study: Code:
:~# hostnamectl Code:
:~# lscpu |
is there any reason to do that? I would recommend you to use the official version, which is automatically installed.
Moving from 32bit to 64bit is another story, I would first try the same version with 64bit architecture and another step would be the upgrade. You might also want to try the backport kernels: https://www.how2shout.com/linux/how-...n-11-bullseye/ |
