updating Kernel from version 2.6.9 to version 2.6.19

Hello Friends,

My aim is to have my system with kernel 2.6.19 .

Right now i have 2.6.9.

I downloaded the 2.6.19 full source .

I build it and i applied modified changes like putting this bzImage , initrd file in the grub.conf and then System.map .

When i try to boot from this i got lot of errors . It did not worked for me.

Is there any patch kind of thing with which i can only patch the needed things with already

existing kernal (2.6.9) and then recompile existing one .

regards
vlrk
