undefined reference to `kernel_init'

Hello there.
I'm trying to install a rootkit to my computer, but this error keeps coming up. Full error:

Code:
charger.c:(.text+0x1499): undefined reference to `kernel_init'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [all] Error 1
This rootkit is two or three years old, and has only been tested on kernels 2.4.0 to 2.6.16. I have kernel 2.6.27-11-generic.

rootkit I'm using: http://packetstormsecurity.org/UNIX/...ood-nt_2.3.tgz

And no, I'm some blackhat trying to get help with owning some guys server. I admin a few servers and want to install rootkits on them in case I get rooted myself someday.

Any help appreciated.

You will need to install the kernel source files.
