unable to mount root fs unknow block (0, 0)


Hello!

i build the kernel and then reboot the system. it prints the error that

unbale to mount root fs on unknown block (0, 0)

the picture is attatched, please see it and guid me.

Did you compile your own kernel on that Ubuntu install? If so you probably missed the HDD driver. If not then the device node may have changed from /dev/hd? to /dev/sd? or vice versa.
