Thank you for this link! I was wondering recently what and why is System.map there. I read the file, but it made no sense. I saw that there was one for each kernel. I thought that mine was missing and wondered why. Only yesterday did I discover I did have one, after I compiled the kernel. After reading your link, it makes more sense. thanks again!
