Set ramdisk size when builiding a live debian iso

Hello, I'm building a custom kali (debian based) iso and would like to specify the size of the virtual HDD (hard disk based on ram; tmpfs).
It'll be live booted, I have 32 gb of ram and it only allocates 16.
Can anyone tell me how to do?

Most, if not all, live boot will allocate 50% of available ram. To change that you will have to dig deep into the code to change it. It's not a quick fix, & you'll have to remaster the live distro. For info on how to do it, search the internet for your distro.

If you are unsure about this, Kali might not be the best distro for you.

Re: #3: there's been lots of total Linux beginners asking about Kali.
You seem like a knowledgeable, sophisticated Linux user. Best wishes. +1 #2

A possible cheat/workaround is to avoid the word 'Kali' on LQ
Tho 'your distro' "my custom debian-based iso" details/specifics may be needed to resolve a question.
