Server facing auto reboots due to the kernel not compatible.

There's kernel panic and when I rebooted it's showing 2 kernel so additional kernel is installed which is causing problem the second kernel is not installed by me.I have confirmed that the reboots are due to the kernel not compatible. how to update or delete the servers additional kernel to a stable one.my service provider has already booted into the one which was first provided when servers was installed.

The problem is not that there are two kernel images in the /boot partition, but rather that there are loadable kernel modules which are not compatible with the kernel you have selected. One way or another, you did not do a complete update of the kernel ... modules and all. The kernel-module loader detected the incompatibility and refused to proceed. (Whew!) But if that means that a necessary piece of the kernel cannot be loaded by any other way (as, apparently, it does ...) then the system cannot start.

The first step would be reading the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature.

You are not providing ANY useful details that would let anyone help you. You don't say what version/distro of Linux you're using, what kind of hardware, what you have done/changed to get this new kernel on the box, etc. So without knowing any of this, how do you think we'll be able to guess as to how to tell you to FIX the problem?
