This question is way to general to give you any advise.

Please tell us exactly what you are trying to do and which problems you run into.

I was wondering if this was homework, guess I was right about that.

We won't do your homework for you (you'll get a zero grade, right...). We are willing to give you pointers on how to solve problems.

This would also mean that others that come to LQ for the same "answers" can use the info given here to do their assignment(s) and not be accused of cheating.

So: Post the problem(s) you have right here and you'll probably get many answers on how to tackle those.

I seriously doubt that after only ONE LECTURE, your professor told you go to out and write an entire shell and 'many commands', and an OS. It just doesn't work that way.

The best person to help you is your teacher. I think you have misunderstood the assignment, based on what you posted. Asking for clarity when you don't understand something is not a bad thing, and if you're unclear on what you've learned, the teacher is there to TEACH you. Ask for help.

No...this is a COMMUNITY forum, not the place to come for personalized, one-on-one email tutoring/homework help. Post your questions here so the community can benefit from the answers.

That's not exactly a recommendation for the course or the educational products of the course.

As I understand your argument, it is that cheating is fine, if you do it and don't get caught, but, if everybody does it, and thus you all get caught, then it is a big problem. We are free not to take this attitude, and largely don't.

That's not what we do. If you have an area of misunderstanding, you may well get the, err, provocation to understand, but you will not get anything that you can submit as your final answer and you will not get a 'hidden' private answer that does not help anyone else. If that doesn't suit you, then you will be disappointed.

Looking back at your posting history, it seems that you have posted things that look like 'homework questions' several times, and it doesn't look to have given you an answer that you can submit even once. It has not yet changed your behaviour. You are still asking for answers that you can submit as 'your' homework, even though it hasn't worked. Not even once, as far as I can see.

So, a few clues:
  • while you can ask about areas that you do not understand, do not expect finished answers to your homework question(s)
  • please give enough details
  • please don't go around deleting parts of your posts; once you have put whatever you have placed on the site 'out there', it is the public domain, and the aim of this site is to help anyone with similar problems; sabotaging that will only dissuade people from putting in effort to help you
  • please write in clear English

Yours too, since you need help.

So then we go back to "post your questions", which you won't do. Since you don't post the questions, give ANY details, or show any work of your OWN that you've done, what exactly do you think we'll be able to help you with???

And if you don't want to participate in a community forum, that's fine. But do NOT expect people to be giving you personal tutoring via email, because you don't want to participate.

And per the LQ Rules, post in clear English...text-speak isn't good for anyone.

Since this thread lacks a real and understandable question, I close it now. Nuff' said!
