reconfiguring the kernel
 
I'm trying to install an Nvidia driver for my graphics card and upon installation, I get an error saying the rivafb module conflicts with the driver and I need to reconfigure my kernel to disable rivafb support. How do I do that?

You can try to recompile your kernel without the rivafb drivers.
