Question recipe for target 'vmlinux' failed

I'm trying to install the Atheros CSI-tool from github. When running the command:

Code:
  $ make -j16
I get the following error:

Code:
arch/x86/kernel/head64.o: In function `x86_64_start_kernel':
/home/kumar/Atheros-CSI-Tool/arch/x86/kernel/head64.c:185: undefined reference to `__stack_chk_fail'

Makefile:934: recipe for target 'vmlinux' failed
make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1
I'm not sure what this means and what's happening here. Any ideas?
I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 (after trying numerous other versions).

I've seen these kind of issues when there have been faults in my configuration and one configuration item does not work relative to another, which generally means the final configuration is not compatible/not viable.

SO, whatever you are currently trying is not going to work the way you are trying it. Could be something simple, as mismatching versions or something like that, but I don't know what Atheros-CSI is, or how exactly you are trying this.

Basically you have to do it the correct way.
