Angry Rebuild Kernel 2.6.31.6


Hi
Having a big problem with rebuild kernel 2.6.31.6 on my fedora9 OS.
I did these steps:
$ make defconfig
$ make
$ make modules_install
Until now every things are okey.
but after this command
$ make install
list of warnings apeared:
sh /root/Kernel_Sourc/linux-2.6.31.6/arch/x86/boot/install.sh 2.6.31.6 arch/x86
/boot/bzImage \
System.map "/boot"
WARNING: NO module ehci-hcd found for kernel 2.6.31.6, continuing anyway
WARNING: NO module ohci-hcd found for kernel 2.6.31.6, continuing anyway
WARNING: NO module uhci-hcd found for kernel 2.6.31.6, continuing anyway
WARNING: NO module sata-sil found for kernel 2.6.31.6, continuing anyway

Latest one apeared thee times.
and when i restart my pc and choose kenel2.31.6.6
unable to work.

So,what can i do for these warnings, or what is the reason?
Please,help me.

For fixing the .*hcd messages review and correct the .config made with 'make defconfig' and check USB options ('make menuconfig'). IIGC SATA uses Device Drivers > ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL (etc?) and Device Drivers > SCSI. BTW good luck with your Silicon Image. May that particular HW company lead the equivalent of a long and interesting life.

Have you tried "make oldconfig" instead of "make defconfig"?

also you do know that fedora 9 is and has been UNSUPPORTED for the last 6 months
it is time to install fedora 12
