Thumbs up Real time Kernel for Debian

If want to turn my current Debian kernel (2.6.24) into a realtime Kernel (Complete Preemption and other latency stuff) than all I need to do is to apply the rt patches available here, right?

Only applying the patches is not enough. You also need to set certain kernel options. For details, go to http://rt.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/...sked_Questions, section 'Configuring/compiling CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT'
