problem with unloading module in 2.6.26 kernel

I written a simple module. It's working fine with 2.6.22 kernel. when I tried the same module in 2.6.26, unable to unload the module. lsmod gives
the following output.

Module Size Used by
test7 5264 0 [permanent]

I didn't get why the module is loaded permanently.

Was the module developed under 2.6.22 kernel?
If so, have you tried recompiling it under 2.6.26??
