Question Problem After Recompiling Kernel

I am using RHEL 5. Kernel version I recompile the kernel to add dazuko module in my kernel. I successfully done that using kernel source from with same version. But if I start my system using new recompiled kernel, Avahi deamon and HAL deamon does not start.

Did you use the config from "/boot/config-2.X.Y-N-whatever" as your initial .config? If not, you probably should.

Did you do "make", "make modules", and "make install"?

Did you make a new initrd file for your kernel?
