That is a very old book and is unlikely to be useful for newer kernels. Why not use Linux Kernel in a Nutshell? It is legal to download this book and is more up to date.

Dear Xavier,

"Linux Kernel in a Nutshell" is a book which talks about "how to install Linux Kernel" not about "Linux Kernel source code".

Do you know, anyother relevent book or the translation copy of "A Heavily Commented Linux Kernel Source Code".

http://www.oldlinux.org is a source for this tutorial, Unfortunately all documents are in Chinese.

It is a very good site, to get through in Linux Kernel, it has all kind of stuffs like very first Linux kernel source code version 0.01 and BOCHS emulators to test and etc.,

Anybody know equivelent tutorial website please refer here.

Hmmm - I've had a look at a 2.4 one; not too relevant these days, but might be useful for style.
Don't know whether I'd still have it - I'll look in my old backups; hopefully it'll have a link as well.
