Make error for LDD3 Examples

Hi, all

I have just downloaded the examples for
Linux Device Drivers.

While there are so many errors. I just type "make" under the
scull directory.

Anyone got an idea?

the error message is like this

error: linux/malloc.h: No such file or directory

This means I should reconfig the kernel? and compile it?

'linux/malloc.h' : not to be found in /usr/include/linux/
nor in the source linux-2.6.xx-x/include/linux/.
( May be present in kernel 2.2 or 2.4 ? )

If you want to use the old files, why not Google .. LDD3 Examples ..
and find e.g.
http://www.mail-archive.com/kernelne.../msg08932.html
" Re: LDD3 examples advice "

... and please look into the other messages
at the bottom of the page, for more info.

The link works fine here.
Or use Google, the link is the fourth hit, first page.
And is just an example, there is lots of other info.

'/linux/malloc.h is present in kernel 2.4.xx ,
example : Slackware 10.2 .
