make bzImage error:size expression for copy_user_generic_c does not evaluate to a con

I am building the linux-2.6.23 kernel on a ubuntu machine.
When I run:
sudo make bzImage

After about 5 mins I get the following error:

How can I solve this problem??

Either the tools you are using are not compatible with the source or your copy of the code is corrupt.
