Sorry, but asking people to look things up for you is fairly rude.

And when you say "board support"...it's helpful to say WHICH board, since there are lots of different one, and many versions of Linux FOR those systems. A brief search on Google yields lots:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Board_support_package
http://scottt.tw/linux-tutorials/
http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/cur...bsp-guide.html
http://free-electrons.com/development/bsp/
http://www.embeddedrelated.com/usene...w/136605-1.php

...and those are just SOME from the first page of MANY.

Did you try going to the pandaboard website? Reading their documentation?? Maybe the very-obviously-named "Getting Started" page??
http://pandaboard.org/content/resources/getting-started

...which has links for Linux, Ubuntu, and Android development, and tells you what you need. Please try to show some minimal effort of your own.

If you don't understand the documents, you probably aren't going to be able to develop software...sorry if it sounds nasty, but if you don't understand the instructions, you're in over your head.

Again, asking people to look things up for you is fairly rude. Go to Google, and look things up for yourself...you've even been given starting points in my previous post.

You said that you were already familiar with developing drivers....if you are, then you should obviously be familiar with the kernel documentation, and what it provides. AGAIN, the BSP packages for whatever board you're developing for are going to have what you need...that's why they're there.
