kernel source tree!
My computer is an Intel, Pentium 4 , uni-processor with Intel chipset and I use ext3 Linux file system on it.
I want to gather the minimum number of files of the kernel source tree to build a complete Linux functionality. I want to keep all the files at "drivers" directory but need to remove unnecessary files and folders at "include", "arch", “fs” and other directories if possible? My purpose is to make a clean and easy to load source tree of kernel and add comments for each file and folders.
By the way, does any body know of a free application to read Linux kernel and show it like a tree while there is a button in front of each file or directory to add comments (a new window may pop up and shows a page that can be edited by user) and meanwhile I can navigate and go to other deeper levels of the tree. This way I can document the whole project.
I think it is useful to make such an application and it helps understanding kernel better.
