I am building a Linux FileServer using Samba.
Please suggest me the Kernel parameters which need to be adjusted for better performance as a FileServer?

You'll probably need to experiment yourself with file-system related parameters in the kernel.

The reason is that performance can be highly hardware dependent. Something that works well for me won't necessarily work well for you.

In general though, I think modern Linux kernels and filesystems are so efficient you'll have to be very lucky or patient (or both) to get a measurable performance improvement by manually tweaking the kernel. Just try a recent stock distro kernel and you should find if you've got good hardware that it is more than up to the task of quite satisfactory high-capacity file serving.

Of course you can improve performance with tweaking (not saying you can't) but it is likely to require enormous time and effort for not much measurable gain.
