Kernel Panic- not syncing

I am running Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon off a 32GB USB flash drive. I am doing a
live boot off of the Kingston Technology Data Traveler G3 USB 2.0 thumb drive. I am running Firefox 20.0 for Linux Mint- 1.0. The trouble is this:
In the middle of surfing the Internet the browser locks up/freezes, then
crashes & then this message appears:
"Kernel Panic- not syncing:Attempted to kill init!"
"drm_kms_helper: panic occurred, switching back to text console."

Any idea as to what this means, what is causing this & how to fix?
Bootloader giving this type of error/problem?
Any help is appreciated.

it is not related to boot loader, but probably related to the site/page you downloaded
can you reproduce it, how often?

for example you have downloaded a flash video and the flash player caused that system panic. Or another plugin.

The system log reported the following:"WARNING:at/build/buildd/linux-3.8.0/drivers/iommu/dmar.c :481 warn_invalid_dmar+0x98/
0x98/0xbo ()
Hardware name: Compaq dc7800
Your BIOS is broken; DMAR reported at address fed90000 returns all ones!
BIOS Vender: Hewlett-Packard; Ver: 786F1 v01.04"

Any idea as to what all this means? How do I fix a broken BIOS?
