Kernel build ld script to handle __executable_start ?

Hello,

I have a 686 kernel module that is working well using 3rd party support library. I then built the amd64 version and having a problem with __executable_start being undefined. That third party library (amd64 version) references it. I read you can do something like:

PROVIDE (__executable_start = ${TEXT_START_ADDR});

somewhere but how do you do it for KBuild ? or does it not deal with __executable_start at all?

Thanks.

FWIW, it looks like if you create the variable it does get set with some value in the kernel when running.
