Kernel-2.6.17-1.2174_FC5 i686

I hope that this goes here.

I am installing ndiswrapper with Fedora Core5 kernel 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5 i686

I ran make distclean and all went good
I ran make and i it went ok except for the following WARNING

***WARNING: This kernel seems to use 4k stack size option (CONFIG_4KSTACKS); many windows drivers will not work with this option enabled. Disable CONFIG_4KSTACKS option, recompile and install kernel.

My question is this: How do i disable (CONFIG_4KSTACKS) option, recompile and install the kernel?

Thank you for any help.

Download and unpack the kernel-<version>.src.rpm file. Prep the source for building. All of this is explained in the Installation instructions;

http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/releas...ISO/#sn-Kernel

Review the kernel rebuild guide;

http://www.digitalhermit.com/linux/K...ild-HOWTO.html

And remember the steps differ a bit from the guide, the steps are in order;

make mrproper
make menuconfig
make
make modules_install
make install

The "Kernel hacking" section in menuconfig is where you adjust(disable) the 4k stacks option if I remember correctly.
