Strange, it works for everybody else. What version of VMware Workstation do you have installed???

Explain in detail or provide any error messages from running the runme.pl after extracting the update.

Did you try to run vmware-configure?

(You may need to have the sources of your running kernel as vmware-configure will try to build
several modules (like vmnet) fitting your kernel as they are needed to run vmware)

To: puelly

Open the runme.pl file and find out.

To: neo571

When one runs the runme.pl file it will update vmware and start/run the vmware-config.pl file after the updates are applied, if VMWare-Workstation is installed properly.
