Intel GPU hung
 

Hi,
I have a frequently recurring problem with X crashing. It is a well known problem with intel GPU's, but I have been unable to find a solution anywhere:

X crashes and the machine needs a reboot to recover. The GPU is in the intel 945GM chipset. System is opensusse 11.3, kernel 2.6.34.4-0.1 or 2.6.34-12, kDE 4.4.4.

What causes this? What can I turn on/off to fix this? Thanks for any help.

Did you try google? The trick is to get the specific error (above) and google that
I didn't read all of this, but he seems to have gone away happy.
