Question Implementation of Bind for Different Protocols

Good day all,

I'm looking for the source code where the bind system call is implemented for different protocols.

What I think this line is showing is that bind behaves differently based on the socket protocol:

http://elixir.free-electrons.com/lin...socket.c#L1462

Because if you follow that over to here:

http://elixir.free-electrons.com/lin...nux/net.h#L124
http://elixir.free-electrons.com/lin...nux/net.h#L285

I see that kernel_bind drills down to the protocol structure.

http://elixir.free-electrons.com/lin...socket.c#L3269

I can't seem to locate is implementation for each protocol. Any hints you could provide on where these are located would be greatly appreciated.

You're right in your analysis. You'll get down to functions like inet_bind() elixir.free-electrons.com/linux/latest/ident/inet_bind

Is it what you're searching for?
