How to modify keyboard.c in 3.7 kernel to turn on numlock?

In older kernels, it is easy to modify keyboard.c to set numlock on.

Please explain how to accomplish this in 3.7 kernels.

Without knowing any of the needed information
your distro
iut's version
and just what modules you built on this non-standard kernel

install ( AND SET UP /CONFIGURE )
"numlockx"

This is the Linux kernel forum. Distro is not material.

Google says that "iut's" is "Intrauterine transfusion".

There is nothing non-standard about kernel 3.7 that I am aware of.

Again, this is the Linux kernel forum. X is not involved.

HINT:
In older kernels, changing line 65 of keyboard.c, which says:
#define KBD_DEFLEDS 0
is sufficient to boot with numlock on. No, I am not going to document in this thread the modified line 65, and I request that nobody else does either so that Google won't find an outdated 'solution'. The 3.7 keyboard.c does not contain "DEFLEDS".

For the solution, see http://andthatsjazz.org/numlock.html
