You have a typo somewhere calling the filesystem ex2 instead of ext2
You give little detail so I really don't know what you are doing, or where your mistake is. I would check /etc/fstab

fsck 1.39 (29-May-2006)
e2fsck 1.39 (29-May-2006)
fsck.ext2: Is a directory while trying to open /dev/mapper/root
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
mounnting device:/dev/ram.....
my /etc/fstab ---
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
sysfs /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
this build root is so fine working in linux-2.6.28 but i want to do with linux 2.6.27.10 so that error exist
thanks for reply .........
