Finding the startup process


Hello evry1,

Please can anyone help me in writing code for startup process in Linux.

Not sure what you mean - the startup file that is run at each boot?

That would be /etc/rc.local (at least on FC3)

Startup Process

Hi,

thanks for the reply. but i want to know how to proceed in writing code for knowing when a process starts in Linux. I want to know the time and the process name when the new process starts.

O ok - I suggest you might want to get the GNU binutils package in source form and take a look at the source for the "top" program?
