Question Error: Could not find the GPG Key necessary to validate pkg

Hi.

I moved from RHEL to CentOS 3.7 and am now having probs with Yum. I cant seem to fix the below sig probem on updates/installs. I have tried rpm --import (snip)/mirror.centos.org/centos/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-3 (edited b/c the site won't allow a URL),
yum clean, yum clean all, and some other tricks but nothing seems to change the problem. I am guessing that yum doesnt like the RHEL packages/headers in the cache but, running yum clean all doesnt fix the prob. Even if i manually delete the "naughty" rpm, yum will try to download it again and then throws the error.

could somebody please, please, please help me figure this one out.

thanks.

THIS IS MY ERROR:

Downloading Packages
warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 025e513b
Error: Could not find the GPG Key necessary to validate pkg /var/cache/yum/base/packages/laus-libs-0.1-70RHEL3.i386.rpm
Error: You may want to run yum clean or remove the file:
/var/cache/yum/base/packages/laus-libs-0.1-70RHEL3.i386.rpm
Error: You may also check that you have the correct GPG keys installed

Oh, one more thing. If you don't know the answer to my question, maybe you know where to tell yum where to look for the GPG-KEY file? I am thinking that Yum may be using the old RHEL GPG key (despite my --imports)? How do i check to find out where yum is looking for my GPG key?

thanks again.

I dunno, but I have the same problem.

How do you 'check that you have the right GPG keys installed'?

FWIW, I got around this by the appalling means of setting gpgcheck=0 in /etc/yum.conf.

Now I'm not checking something that surely should be checked, but at least something gets installed!
