I'm an Ubuntu Linux user so to find out what kernel I've got I have to go into synaptic and find the kernel package. For me this is fine but I'm writing a small guide for new Ubuntu users and I would like to know an easy way to find out what kernel is installed on the machine. Is there some command I can enter in the terminal that will do this? Thanks,
same thing but uses all the options for uname, if gives me the darwin kernel version and some other almost intresting details, cant remember which option just give the kernel
