Documentation for kernel routines

Where can I find official documentation for kernel routines ?
I didn't find it in the man pages.

Thanks.

There is a Documentation directory in the kernel source. Some of the docs are in docbook source form. The kernel has a "make docs" target to process them. However some distro's supply these docs with a kernel-docs package in /usr/share/doc/kernel.

Also, I just checked the kernel-docs package. It supplies 2141 manpages on SuSE.
