debugging kernel programming (dvice driver)


1_I start to write device driver(char device) but iwant to debug the code imean before compiling it by the make files
2_the values return by read or write how can i know it

Before compiling it. I didn't get u. At least one should compile it then you can debug it with gdb.

use retrun valuse for each function/system call and print it using printk

you can see all messages using #dmesg command
