Configure minimal linux kernel


Hi, i want to configure my linux kernel.It needs to be bootable and as small as possible. I'm newbie. I need a guide .

Do you build your own kernel? If not, use a package kernel. Slackware has kernels of different sizes.

There are thousands of options. It takes hours to go through them all. I edit .config by hand, which works well for stuff you're sure about. You can choose to install few drivers, figure out what hardware doesn't work, add it.
