Changing RPi display driver module issue

I have a Raspberry Pi with an attached TFTLCD screen.
Initially I used a screen with an ILI9340 controller, and it works great.
Now I want to use a screen with an ILI9325 chip.

The problem is the system insists on loading fb_ili9340, the 'system' being stock Raspbian 4.14.71-v7+.

fb_ili9340 gets loaded whether the screen is attached or not. I cannot find where it says to load it.

Where do I look? I've checked the usual suspects in /etc. Nothing.
Thanks

Nothing in modprobe.d, and there is no /etc/rc.d.
in /etc
Code:
grep -r 9340 *
gives no hits.

You can always blacklist it in /etc/modprobe.d. Why is this a problem? If nobody's using it you can unload it; if nobody's using it it's just wasting a little RAM.

Blacklisting works, but I really wanted to find what was causing fb_ili9340 to be loaded.

I finally found it last night. There was a device tree entry in the Pi's /boot/config.txt for the ILI9340.
