Post cant boot dam small installed on usb


Im new to linux and I am having a problem trying to boot dsl 4.4 installed on a 1 gig LEXAR usb thumb drive. After setting the bios to boot from the usb I get an error msg. "can not find linux kernel" please HELP.

Hi,

Did you installed dsl as pointed out on

yes i did I formated with fat 32 downloaded the iso and un-ziped to the usb. downloaded sys linux to the hard drive and assigned the usb port rebooted and got the cant find kernel msg.I can run it from within windows vista booting from qeum, and it runs fine.

I burned the iso of dsl 4.4 to cd, but could not boot the cd, it gives a black screen.
Seems to me there is a problem with version 4.4.
You could try to use an older version, or install puppy, works great, and hardware recognition is great.
