i've installed elive on my notebook (asus a8jc). now want install the network driver. i downloaded the driver from the reatltek website. but when want to install the driver i get an error:

/lib/modules/2.6.15/build is a link to /usr/src/kernel-source-2.6.15.
the directory /usr/src/kernel-source-2.6.15 is empty. is that ok? aptitude says the kernel-source is installed.
ok. i get an other error now, gcc is not installed on the machine. so i'll download and install gcc. but in aptitude i you can see, that gcc should be installed. it's strange, isn't it?
