arrow keys are not displaying properly with terminal server telnet session,

Am using terminal server package 3.2,which reads serail port gives output on telnet port.
I logged in to terminal server port, every thing works fine except the arrow keys, home and end keys. When i type up arrow it shows ^[[A character after we do enter previous command executes.

The question is its not displaying properly on console, when we use arrow keys special characters getting printed.

let me know how it can be solved.

It looks like a console type problem. There are different console types, one of them is vt100 and they differ in the way thy handle special characters. I think that you need to find out what kind of console is your device using and make sure your teminal is using the same. Setting both to vt100 is another idea that will give the same effect. How to do it exactly you need to look into your device documentation.

Console type is vt102, verified with canonical and non canonical mode by setting termios,
and did enabled the history by using set -o history command. Its executing previous command on up arrow press, but it disply's the escape sequecne like ^[[A .
