Yes, I concentrated on the kernel part of the mouse handling, could be at application level.
I would try it on the X server : renice -1 X |
I am having the same prolem and I have ubuntu 7.10 installed i386 ATM. I also had it with the x64 version also. It does it ever few seconds when an app is trying to do a data command, will lag the Keyboard, touch mouse and the usb mouse. The cpu won't be at 100% when it does it. It is like a system wide lag. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? here is the copy of my current state and it is doing as I type. the system is a Acer Aspire 3002lci upgraded to amd x64 Turion 2.0 GHz 512mb ram shared vidoe... which cant get opengl another prob... using Ubuntu 7.1 kernel Linux 2.6.22-14-generic. It is amost bone stock install and have had the problems since i installed. Hope somone can help.
