Any thoughts on the best way to write a driver for a single board computer?

HI Guys,

First time I have ever posted on this forum, so unsure if my query will warrant or get a reply; here's hoping?!

I am a recruiter; I know this is not a forum for recruitment, and I also know the common perception of my profession (unfortunately justified in some cases!)but to be frank I am working for one company who are a phenomenal Single-board designer and manufacturer, and we are having trouble finding the right guys through the standard means...

So i ask the question; if you were wanting to build a device driver for a SBC, where would you begin to write the device drivers?

I would love to tell more through the thread, or by any means; but only if people want to hear..

Please accept my apologies if this is bad protocol; I didn't mean it to cause any upset..

Dan

I would start with reading Linux Device Drivers.
