After remove ethernet cable, what are the steps for linux to update the ARP table ?
 

in desktop linux,
if i pull out ethernet cable from any eth port,
this ARP entry gets removed right away.

my question is, what are the steps to make this happen under the hood ?
(all i know is device driver will report "eth0 is down".)

who detects it and removes the ARP entry ASAP ?
