Thumbs up About programming in SMP environment

Who can give me some suggestion on application programming in SMP environment? Even a few priceless link, book or artists.
Maybe following issues mentioned there:
> protection again each other
> reentrance
> synchronization
> mutex
> software architecture, e.g. multi-process/multi-thread/something else
> load balancing(maybe kernel do that)
> atomicity & atomic operation
> share memory use
> TIPC
> communication inter-thread
> something else

Any comment welcome.

Any good introductory textbook on operating systems should do it.

App programming? The kernel itself is supposed to handle all the protection and synchronizing.
The only thing user space would be concerned with is perhaps threading the app to make it more efficient on SMP. Other than that, it's all kernel issues - the SMP should be invisible to user space apps.
