Hello to all~
I just got Mandrake Linux 9.1 installed. Up and running. Ran the KDE connection wizard form the control panel, and configed the settings for the modem.
HIt connect, and nothing. I've tried quiet a few different properties including the "flow control", "line termintation", "hardware types"??? I'm out of Ideas. Escpecially since I didn't have many to begin with. lol
Go find a manual for your zoom modem. And manually make a full init string for it. This string must include. Initializing the modem. telling it to dial. Telling it upstream minimum and maximum rate, downstream min and max rate, and just about every other setting that the modem has options of, including connection types.. v90 v92...
If you don't know what an init string is ask google.
The manual consists of one page of NOTHING, but I did find some info on google in another fourm.
Thanks I may be back though. I'm also having trouble getting my sound card recognized.
