Took me a while to find out that this is a USB headphone, you could have provided some better information.

So it is treated as a "sound card".

In those screenshots, at the top, where it says "Device: HDA NVIDIA", you need to change it to whatever you headphones are seen as.
Quote:
in the Switches tab the headphone is checked.
That just refers to the headphone socket that is attached to your NVIDIA soundcard.

hello , i gave PClinux 2009.1 a try a guess what it worked for those of u who want to know how it worked this is an out line..
these represent the jacks

( ) ( ) ( )
( ) (O) ( )

that "O" is my desktop creative speaker's jack. It means that it uses that jack.

( ) (0) ( )
( ) (O) ( )

this is the present state for the headphone speakers "0" is the jack of it.

well for ubuntu too i should have given it that jack. well i luv PCLinux its brilliant.

thanks linuxquestions.org

tinman.
